Properties:Milk white to light yellow powder, calcium alginate is the divalent metal salts of alginic acid, insoluble in water, has good dispersibility, can be slowly dissolved in alkaline solution or salt solution to form sticky liquid.
Uses: As the adhesive, thickening agent and water retention agent used in food, under the influence of salt in food, calcium-sodium exchange to form thickened high-content calcium gel, which is mostly used with sodium alginate. It can be used as a hemostat directly in the medicament. For industrial welding materials: binder, plasticizer.
Storage: Sealed and stored in a cool, dry and ventilative place.
